The Plaza is a major mixed use development in
the North East Quadrant of the City Centre. The scheme comprises primarily
office and residential accommodation along with elements of retail, leisure,
car parking and ancillary accommodation to the residential elements. Phase I
will provide 990 study bedrooms, and Phase II will provide a further 750.
The scheme includes 750 sq m (8, 000 sq ft) of Retail / A3, and a 375 sq m
(4, 000 sq ft) café / bar.
The designs provides for the refurbishment of an existing building for
offices, refurbishment of an existing building for residential
accommodation, and new build residential accommodation and car parking.
These elements are grouped around public open space.
